Sierra’s #1833 MatchKing is a 135-grain .270 caliber (.277″) hollow point boat tail bullet designed as Sierra’s premier target/component bullet for precision handloading. This 135 grain MatchKing bullet #1833 is the heaviest match grade bullet currently available in Sierra’s line in 270 caliber, and its long ogive point with small meplat combined with a boat tail shape give it outstanding “low drag” characteristics for maximum efficiency at extreme ranges. It is appropriate for use in the 270 Winchester, 270 Weatherby Magnum, and 270 Winchester Short Magnum cartridges , making it a versatile choice across common .270 platforms. Like other bullets in this line, these bullets have very thin jackets drawn to an exacting concentricity standard of 0.0003 in maximum variation, with weight held to within ± 0.3 grain , reflecting Sierra’s emphasis on manufacturing consistency for repeatable accuracy.
