The HD22 Heavy-Duty Soft Sided Cooler from Engel is engineered for serious cooling performance in tough environments. Unlike most soft coolers that rely on stitched seams, the HD22 is fully welded, creating an airtight and watertight seal that prevents warm air from entering and cold air from escaping. This dramatically improves ice retention — keeping contents cold for up to 3.5 days according to independent review — making it ideal for boating, camping, fishing and long days outdoors.

Built for durability, the HD22 features a rugged 840 denier outer shell designed to resist abrasion and heavy use. The front and back panels are laminated with Thermal Plastic Urethane (TPU) for added puncture resistance and structural strength. Inside, closed-cell foam insulation blocks air transfer to enhance thermal efficiency and extend cooling performance in demanding conditions.

With a 22-quart capacity, the HD22 offers practical functionality to match its performance. A welded waterproof, air-resistant zipper (requiring periodic lubrication for optimal operation) ensures a secure seal, while reinforced tote handles and a removable padded shoulder strap provide versatile carrying options. An integrated bottle opener completes the package, delivering a cooler built tougher, sealed tighter, and ready for any adventure.
